I was surprised to see your message in my inbox today. I do not normally respond to things like this, but I wanted to congratulate you on your journey. Your passion for creativity and your empathy for the human population will always draw many to both you and the beautiful music you create. I have listened to your music for many years, through the ups and downs of a journey not too different from your own. I have related so deeply to your lyrics and have always been so drawn to your philosophical themes. Know that you are in my, and many of your other fansβ, thoughts and prayers.
Hey man, Iβve always appreciated the honesty and exploration in your music and believe God is using it. Because I believe music is communal, and not meant to be driven by consumerism (as it is so much today), I would love to keep hearing about your exploration of our humanity, seeking of God in all of this, and following of Jesus. Iβll say a prayer that he keeps showing up when you seek and knock.
Dead on my friend. The other unlikely thing I'm up to (more to come soon) is starting a "Record Label" to basically be as unprofessional as possible. Kind of want to make recording more of a therapeutic process than carving out a product of the soul. Thanks for the kind words.
So proud of you my guy!! Takes a lot to recognize and react sensibly to those very real and very strong emotions. Your music is fantastic and Iβve seen you twice - and will never forget it! One was a tiny house show in Louisville where we were all piled on a couch in someoneβs living room. I hope you find that same level of comfort in yourself soon! We love ya man!!
Thanks Leah! Lately my "self" and my soul and my life feel like a well worn couch.... well except also that I feel so happily activated to create and chat and buzz around like a bee. Life is good. Love you too!
Been a long time fan, your house concert in Austin is still one of my favorites to this day. Awesome to hear youβre doing well or okay or however youβre doing!
Gonna go take an edible and listen to your vinyl now, Godspeed my dude!
Corey! I started my morning with Nook song and listened to all of Slim Margins by 10 a.m. Your writing has always brought me comfort, I am so glad to hear you're happy these days. Always happy to hear your updates. Hope the best for you and I will be gladly sticking around
Thankful to have found you along the way of this ebbing and flowing expression of life. Youβre doing it exactly as you should, one moment at a time! Thereβll always be a cup of chai & a meal to be found at my home.
